When I first got started in my first Network Marketing company, I was working in Financial Services. I made a lot of money in that job, but I lacked time freedom.

When I saw Network Marketing, I immediately said ‘Yes! I can make the same great money AND I can have more time freedom!’

So like most newbies, after signing up, I went home and started searching my new company on Google. We all know what happens when we do that… all the negative stuff comes up. #HowFrustrating

For me, I got so nervous. I felt like I had this reputation to live up to and if I was going out there to share this new idea and there is this negative press online about it, that's a reflection of me and my reputation.

I learned pretty fast that we can’t let the negativity on the outside tear us down.

The ‘outsiders’ were the ones spreading this negativity online, not the people who are actually working with the company.

The best way to do any type of effective research, in my opinion, is from the inside.

I wanted to work it from the inside out and make my own decision about my Network Marketing opportunity.

1. Create Your Own Product Testimonial

Try your product, choose a product from your product line that you like and works for you – then you can get confident and stand behind the product you are promoting.

2. Get Involved With Your Community

You want to make it a priority to attend training events if you want to create success in your Network Marketing company. And the best way to do your research and increase your confidence is by attending these events. You will hear amazing product and opportunity success stories that will help build your belief in what you are doing.

3. Change the Internal Self-Talk

This is something I really had to learn – but honesty this will probably be one of the most powerful of the 6 ways to increase your confidence. I used to say ‘I’m so young’ and ‘Who’s going to listen to me?”, but this is one of the most powerful things you can start changing is that negative internal chatter box in your head filing you with limited beliefs. What you tell yourself – Happens!

To increase your confidence and show yourself what's possible, you first need to do the steps your leadership is giving you and then create that income story for yourself that you can share when you're prospecting.

Its so important to your overall success to close out the external negativity and this is sometimes hard to do when we first get started in Network Marketing. They'll try to tear down your excitement and keep you from moving your life forward if you let them.
