Local MLM Leads – 4 Great Ideas

local mlm leads Local MLM Leads 4 Great IdeasIn this day in age with all the tech this and tech that, we forget how important it is to obtain local MLM leads and build a business right in our backyard community where we might need it most. I admit I am very guilty of this at times but as a home-based business owner that built my business offline for an entire year, I know how important it is to have a balance of both online and offline methods. Local MLM leads can also be found online using some cool strategies that I’ve learned at MLSP and once they’re found online we can move it over to offline building.

Before sharing my 4 great ideas in obtaining local MLM leads it’s good to know the importance of why we should be building locally. Here is what I’ve found in my experience:

  1. Hype works to a certain extent, but once everyone has “jumped” in they will jump out just as quickly without the sense of community.
  2. 30% of the people that got involved in my home business offline did it just to be a part of something fun and to get out of the house. It’s true. Why do you think people join chess clubs…lol
  3. My retention is 2 to 1 with offline vs. Online. Probably because of #1 and #2. But to make up for this I sponsor 2 to 1 online vs. Offline.

Now, that being said, as a determined Entrepreneur that wants an online worldwide business I have developed processes with our online team to create a community feel but I’m sure that everyone can agree that it’s just not the same as belly to belly.

The Solution: Have a good balance of locating worldwide and local MLM leads

When I sponsor teammates online I coach them to have a nice balance of online and offline local MLM leads. This is the only way to set them up for success. I tell it like it is and I’m very open and honest, this also helps retention because I’m properly preparing my team for the journey ahead.

So here it is

4 Great ways to obtain local MLM leads

1.    Attend Local Business mixers. Chamber events, charities, real estate functions or wealth planning functions. The type of people that attend these events already have the right business mindset and are more liking to know more people just like themselves. If you’re interested in getting more professionals to join your business this is a Free Webinar that really helped me sponsor go-getters: The Insiders Secrets to Recruiting Professionals

2.   Join a Gym or Fitness group. Not only will this be great for your health but you would be surprised with the amount of great people you would meet. These are normally people that are motivated too…..they actually made it off the couch and pealed themselves from the TV. Just remember that if you’re going to obtain local MLM leads by doing this……leave the headphones at home and start some conversation with a nice “hello

3.   Go to Meetup.com and join something going on in your neighbourhood. I did this 3 days ago and I got 2 local MLM leads. These ladies literally gave me their info without me having to ask for it. I joined a Law of Attraction group in my local area because I love that stuff and thought “what the heck, its great networking too!” When the group started everyone was asked to share their name, where they were from and what they did. This is what I said “Hey, my name is Tanya and I’m new to town here and I am a social media marketing coach for the home-based business industry and I teach people how to make money from home” I had 2 ladies at the end wanting to know more and BINGO….Learn more about MeetUps in your area here http://www.meetup.com it’s a free and fun way to get local MLM leads.

4.   When you sponsor 4-6 people contact your Upline and plan a local meeting once a week. This builds a community that people want to be a part of. By doing this it will allow you to get into other people’s networks which will universally bring you more local MLM leads.

Most importantly have fun with these strategies because the people that are following your lead are going to want to have fun and if we show them that this entire process of getting local MLM leads is just another way to make some new friends and help others, people are going to duplicate and you’re going to build a fun community to work with.

Unlike some Online Networkers out there, I am out in the trenches building every single day and I’ll always share what I know based on my personal experiences. Not everything works but these 4 tasks have worked well with some great success stories. If you are still learning how to put the words together when chatting with people about your business this is what I’ve found to be super helpful for me and my team The Little Black Book of Scripts…….its about duplication and giving people what they need to be successful.

Hello Tanya, Great idea for the Meetup group – I love what you said you are a social media coach for the home business arena. I am part of Todd’s A team right now and going through the series of Prospecting Professionals. I have purchased so many other things in my education and my opinion Todd’s training is the best. Hey Tanya!

Thanks for these tips, love em!

I especially like Meetup, I’ll be using it for sure!

One thing I can suggest for networking events is NOT bombarding people with your business… Instead, collect business cards and… follow up!! Haha.
