Using 3-way calls is an extremely powerful tool in building your business.

It provides credibility and authority and removes you from having to be the expert.

It also lets your prospect get an inside look at your team culture and help them see that support will be available to them if they decide to join the business.

There are many benefits to using 3-way calls with your prospects, but if you don’t understand how to edify your leader properly during the process, you will certainly tank it!

Network Marketing Tips – Edify Your Leader Not Your Prospect

When you start off the call with your prospect and your leader, the very first thing you need to do is to edify your leader. A lot of people get this part wrong and it’s really important that you do this right.

Do not edify your prospect. You don’t need to and here’s why;

Your prospect is seeking for a solution to a problem he has and your business and your team is the solution to that problem.

Edifying your leader will frame your prospect properly and give him the needed confidence that he is talking to an expert that can guide him.

Your prospect is not the one offering a solution to you or your leader.

Your prospect wants to feel that he’s in the hands of someone who’s an expert and has authority.

Edifying your leader will set the stage properly and give your prospect the confidence that he’s spending valuable time with an expert who can help him solve his problem.

Network Marketing Tips – Be Aware of Your Prospects Personality Type

Understanding the 4 different personality types will help you trigger your prospects hot points and communicate effectively.

You can discover your prospects personality type during your initial conversations.

Here’s a quick summary to help you understand personality types.

The personality color chart is divided into four main colors: Red, Blue, Yellow & Green.

Red Personality Type

Reds have the ability to move from point A to point B. Getting things done is what motivates and drives these people. They bring great gifts of vision and leadership. They are rational thinkers and care more about facts than theory or detail.

They value time and guard it carefully.

With Reds don't waffle or ramble on. Don’t be vague as they like to get straight to the point. They think big picture and are comfortable taking risks. Reds are motivated by money so don’t be afraid to talk about income potential and use large numbers.

Yellow Personality Type

Yellows love helping others almost to a fault. They are very reliable, honest, and really good listeners. Be as helpful as possible with yellows. Take your time with them and make them feel valued. Yellows are friendly and pleasant to be around. They are great at relationships and very easy going.

They don’t fret over details and money is not a big motivation for them. However, how your product or company is helping people is what matters most to yellows.

Blue Personality Type

Blues are the life of the party. They love meeting new people and aren’t shy about starting conversations with strangers. Blues are easy to recognize because they talk a lot. Everyone they meet is instantly their friend. Blues love to travel and go on adventures. Blues love to be in action and don’t like to be bothered with facts and figures.

They are “big picture” people and don’t care about your company details or product ingredients.

Green Personality Type

Greens are very analytical, cautious, skeptical, and conservative. They are not big risk takers and are often times introverted. Give a green personality type details, facts, and figures.

They are great problem solvers and know the answer to almost everything. In summary… You will naturally recognize yourself in one of these personalities and also see that you might have some overlapping traits between all four.

But we all have a dominant personality type. Understanding people will bring you more positive results in your home business and in your personal life.

Network Marketing Tips – Use A Script That Edifies Your Leader

If you don’t know what personality type your prospect is, then bring in one of the key traits from each of the personality type.

However, if you can easily recognize your prospects personality type, touch on some hot points that your prospect will be able to identify with.

Here’s a script that you can use to edify your leader and touch on all the personality traits:

You: John, are you on the line? (wait for John to reply) Great! Jeff, are you on the line as well? (wait for Jeff to reply) Awesome!

You: I’m really glad that I got us all connected. John, I want to introduce you to Jeff. I know that Jeff has a really busy schedule so to be able to get some of his time and have him here with us is really exciting. (this edifies your leader as the expert and someone to value and respect)

Just to give you a background on Jeff, Jeff used to be an anesthesiologist and he was able to retire from his job with the project that were working on together. He’s worked very hard to get to where he’s at and is very driven and focused on getting results. He’s a 7-figure earner and is breaking records in our company. Red Personality Type

He now gets to spend a lot of time with his family which is something he wasn’t able to do before he retired his job. He also gets to travel a lot and go on many adventures. Blue Personality Type

And even though he’s extremely successful, he remains very humble and continues to help everyone out because he just loves helping people. Yellow Personality Type

Jeff has done extensive research on this company and he knows the products inside out. There’s not one detail he doesn’t know about our products, compensation plan or the company. And he can definitely help answer any questions you might have. Green Personality Type

You: Jeff meet John, John meet Jeff.

This script uses a trait from each of the personality types and hits on some pain points that your prospect might have.

Of course, you will customize it to your leader’s personal background and situation, but make sure you point out how valuable his/her time is and how lucky your prospect is to be able to spend time with them.
