Network Marketing Tips - Gain an understanding of why your spouse is unsupportive

I have to admit that when I see this situation between couples it breaks my heart.

But...we never truly know the entire situation so we have to consider the reasons that the spouse may be unsupportive.

If we can understand them better...it will give us the ammunition we need to handle this situation.

Here are some of the most frequent reasons I come across:

1. They’ve seen their spouse fail so many times in the past and they don’t want to see them fail anymore

2. Time is taken away from them and transferred towards the business

3. Tasks that are important and were once getting done are now getting neglected

4. There’s no discussed timeline

So I think we can agree they might have a really good reason for not being supportive…at least in their mind.

They might not be showing you in the most supportive way the reasons why they’re discontent...but the majority of the time all it takes is a constructive and productive discussion to get them on board with your dreams and goals.

Now obviously, if they truly love and care about you they should be a supporter of your dreams, goals and everything you're working toward.

I’m going to now share with you 5 things that you should discuss with your spouse to help them catch the vision and be on board with helping you and supporting you in your business.

So the first thing in that planner that it’s going to ask you to fill out is to discuss your why with your spouse..or even better your entire family.

The goal is to include everyone that’s closest to you on your vision and mission.

Network Marketing Tip #1 - You're Why

So, the first thing in that planner that it’s going to ask you to fill out is to discuss your why with your spouse...or even better your entire family.

The goal is to include everyone that’s closest to you on your vision and mission.

So in this section of the dream building planner you’ll want to write down at least 5 goals that you want to accomplish through your business so that you can share it with your spouse or family.

Network Marketing Tip #2 - Discuss The Timeline

There’s always going to be different seasons in your business.

Think about this season that you're business is in right now and your 30, 60 or 90 day goal.

Your spouse and loved ones are going to want to know how long it’s going to take to hit some of your goals.

Of course, this timeline can’t be guaranteed and it might take longer than expected, but it’s good for everyone, including yourself, to know what the timeline on that might be.

Network Marketing Tip #3 - Discuss your END Goal

Is this a 3-5 year plan?

And inside this 3-5 year plan what is it going to look like?

When will you be turning you're hustle muscle on and when will you be slowing down?

This is a little bit different than your WHY…this is the actual Bigger Vision of your life and perfect days in the future.

Network Marketing Tip #4 - Create An Agenda

Figure out what your WORK days and weeks are going to look like and discuss this with your spouse and family.

This might include:

- Working till a certain time at night

- Waking up earlier in the morning

- Blocking off uninterrupted time blocks in the day to work

- Hiring help around the house

- Being in front of your phone or computer more

These are all things that are important to talk about so your family knows what this is going to look like in the timeline.

Network Marketing Tip #5 - Ask For Help

I want you to write down 5 or more ways that you can ask your spouse or your family for help so they can feel like they’re a part of what you’re doing.

It can be as simple as asking them to help with dinner or laundry or maybe just cheering you on.

Network Marketing Tip - In Conclusion

If you do a good job at articulating your vision, your spouse and family should want to feel included in what you’re doing.

Once you’ve got your Discussion Dream Building Planner printed and filled out...it’s time to have a meaningful conversation with them.
