You’re having a conversation with a prospect…you’re getting to know them and you get to the point where you transition into business.

And then things get weird, but like really weird.

You start to feel the conversation gets this dark cloud over it, and it becomes kind of heavy.

It’s no longer light and fun anymore.

This happens to a lot of people…including myself when I first got started in Network Marketing.

However, I learned a strategy that helped me eliminate the ‘weirdness’ for both myself and my prospect.

In this Episode of Tanya Aliza TV, I’m going to share with you a strategy I use that helps me get a lot of signups in my business while keeping it light and fun for my prospects as well.

Today, since we’re talking about having those prospecting conversations with people, I want to give you My Top 20 Prospecting Questions to help you get the information that you need from your prospects so you can make more sales.

My prospecting strategy back in the day

Back in the day when I was new to prospecting in my business, I used to think I had to know everything and had to answer every question with some smart Harvard law degree type answer including voice and tone.

Of course that isn’t something that can be duplicated very well.

And your prospect isn’t thinking about how smart you sound… they’re thinking about how you make them feel AND wondering if they can do what you’re doing with the people they know.

So you have to make sure you’re making it fun and simple for both you and your prospect.

Your prospecting strategy should be fun and simple

Now, I have a way to keep it fun with my prospects and I’m going to share with you how I do it… but promise me you won’t judge me or knock it until you try it out okay?

The feedback on my strategy has been absolutely mind blowing and it makes it more fun for me and I’m definitely enrolling more teammates and customers since learning this strategy.

Ever heard of GIF’s?

If you don’t yet know or you’re not yet using them…they’re on your keyboard shortcut.

You’ll also find them on Facebook and Instagram which makes it super easy to send to your prospects when you’re having a conversation with them.

I started to have conversations with my prospects with GIFs.

This brings light and laughter and feel-good moments and it totally takes the seriousness off the conversation.

Take the seriousness out of your prospecting strategy

Here’s the reality: If you’re taking things way too seriously, it’s just not going to work out.

So what I started to do was answer questions and make connections and reach out and do follow ups with really funny animated GIFs.

It’s gotten my prospects to feel so good and we laugh together.

It takes the seriousness out of everything and people are actually getting started and buying from me faster than they ever have.

I also use GIFs to answer questions and bring light to questions that can get answered in a little bit more of a fun way than a serious way and just move people through the process faster.

Your prospecting strategy should not including knowing the answer to every question

If somebody asks me a question, I don’t pretend to know everything.

I also don’t show them that I know everything because I don’t want them to think that they have to know everything to make this business work or to share the products.

I use a line that I absolutely love when somebody asks me a question and I know they’re looking for a detailed answer.

But I know that the detailed answer isn’t going to get them to make a decision because people buy through emotion and then they back it up with logic.

So if somebody asked me, “Hey, how much money can I make with this thing?” Or, “What are the ingredients in this product that you’ve just shared with me?”

I’ll say, “I’m not a hundred percent sure all of the details but…” and then I’ll insert a story or I’ll insert a funny emoji or a GIF and then I’ll insert a call to action.

Basically I’m telling them, “Hey, I don’t know everything, but all I know is …” and then I’m going to share a little story that is related to that question.

Then I’m going to say, “Is there anything else you need to know before we get you rocking and rolling and having fun with us?”

When not to use this prospecting strategy

Now, I will say that there are certain personality types out there that this strategy may not work with but it will work with the majority of the people out there.

Some people are going to need to know nitty gritty details and in that case you can point them to resources to help them with that.

For example, somebody that’s a green personality type…meaning they are a very analytical and detail oriented type of person.

If you answer those types of people this way, they might not really see the value and might not see it as funny as you.

However, what you can do is share with them a more detailed resource and a more analytical resource.

Just know your personality types but with the majority of the people out there you can have fun with.

Sometimes even with the green personality types, I still like to have fun with them because I like to take them out of their seriousness.

Prospecting strategy – In Conclusion

Have more fun in your prospecting conversations. Make people feel good.

Make them laugh and you will have more people that want to be aligned with you a whole lot faster.
