If you’re the kind of person that’s too shy to approach people or you go back and forth with your prospects, then you probably won't have the results that you’re looking for in your business.
Learning how to overcome shyness and develop solid confidence in yourself is what will help you become UNSTOPPABLE and UNSHAKABLE in your business.

This week I’ve created a resource called How To Boost Your Confidence With My 25 Daily Affirmations. These are the very affirmations I've been using everyday to help increase my confidence.
Once you start using them I know they will help you overcome shyness and become unstoppable when approaching your prospects with your product, service or business.
This episode was inspired by a question that came in from one of our Rank Up challenge clients.
A friend of hers had posted on Facebook that they had lost their job and she knew that her business was a possible solution for her, but she wasn't sure how to approach her or what to say.
As she hadn't spoken to her friend in awhile, she didn't want to feel awkward or have her friend feel like she was pouncing on her.
Whenever I'm coaching my students or clients, I like to empower them to think for themselves. So I asked her to tell me what she really wanted to say and to tell me the first thing that came to mind.
It turns out her reply was exactly what she should have told her friend but was too shy or afraid to do so. To help her out I shared with her a strategy I've coined "call out the elephant in the room."
This is one of my favorite strategies and it will work for almost every scenario.
If you don't know what to say to a prospect that you know you can help with your product, service or business or you have a team that comes to you for guidance and training, then you'll want to use this strategy to help them.
The "call out the elephant" in the room strategy is about saying the very thing that keeps you from approaching your prospect in the first place.
For example, let's say you know someone that you haven't connected with in a long time.
You see them post about a problem or challenge on Facebook.
It could be a financial loss or a struggle with weight loss, and you know your business, service or product can help them.
Your initial thought might be that it would be awkward to approach them because it's been awhile since you've connected.
Instead of being timid you can turn around and be bold and call out the elephant in the room.
You can say to your friend:
"Hey, I know we haven't talked in a while, BUT I saw your post on Facebook and I think I have something that might be able to help your situation. I don't know if you'll see what I have as a way to solve your problem, but I know it's worth taking a look at. Do you have a couple of minutes where we can connect on the phone?"
As you can see in the example above, you call out that elephant and get it out of the way in a gracious manner.
Here are some situations you can use this strategy with:
- They're going through financial hardships
- They lose their job
- They have no time
- They hate their job
- They want to lose weight
And the list goes on.
You use this strategy for any situation that keeps you stuck in shyness or fear about approaching someone you know you can help.
It's important to understand that if your too timid or afraid to go up to someone or approach them with your product, service or business, then you're probably not confident about what you have to offer.
You must harness some boldness and confidence in your business, if you want to succeed.
There are several ways to get your confidence levels up.
One way is to actually become a user of your products, take some time to get personally familiar with what your offering and what it can do for others.
Create a product or income testimonial for yourself.
If you don't yet have your own testimonial, then feed yourself with testimonials about what your product, business or service has done for others. Other people’s success will help build your confidence and belief in what you’re offering.
Immerse yourself in network marketing tips that will help increase your confidence and also help you overcome your fears.
A lot of people freak out at the thought of sharing their business or products with their prospects. It doesn’t have to be weird or awkward unless you make it so.
If you're passionate about your product, service or business you won’t come across as salesy. People are passionate about things all the time. Sharing is what people do and that’s why social media is such a huge part of our lives.
And that’s sales. Simply suggesting something to help make someone else’s life better.
You’re never too old or too late to learn how to overcome shyness or anything else that’s hindering you from achieving the results you want in your life and business.
Positive affirmations can be a great tool for assisting you in achieving extraordinary results in your life and business.

Learning how to overcome shyness when prospecting might be challenging at first but the payoff will be worth it.
