Network Marketing Prospecting can go one of 2 ways, it can go very well or it can be very embarrassing leaving us deflated and insecure to keep moving forward. In today's video post I'm going to show you how to prospect in a way that's going to help get you excited to do it over and over again.
When you're prospecting for business, online or offline, ASKING QUESTIONS is KEY! Questions get your prospect really intrigued to learn more about your product, service, or opportunity instead of repelling them away from the process.
I speak from total experience being in Network Marketing since 2009 where we've created a lot of success. We’re the Top Recruiters in our company and what I've learned talking to a lot of people is that it's never about US - it's ALWAYS, 100% all about our prospects.
Once we understand this inside our business, we're going to create a lot more results with a lot less resistance in our prospecting strategies.
Using lines like, “You’d be really great at what I do” or “I think you’d love what I am doing” causes a lot of resistance. These make the conversation about you instead of genuinely finding out how your product, service, or opportunity can benefit your prospect.
My Favorite Network Marketing Prospecting Question that opens up the door to share your product or opportunity with ZERO resistance is one that I learned from a good friend of mine, Lisa Grossmann. Lisa is one of the most influential female Network Marketers that I know.
I was at an event and got an opportunity to sit with Lisa at a VIP lunch and we got to talking. It was probably one of the best conversations I’ve had when it comes to building teams and creating duplication in Network Marketing. One of the things Lisa taught me is that when she's out prospecting, her main go-to question is “Do You Have a PLAN for that?”.
As you can imagine, this is now My Favorite prospecting question to use and here is why:
When you ask this question, your prospects will begin to tell you what it is they really want, so you can find a solution through your product, service, or opportunity.
Let’s say you are out at a restaurant and you start talking to the waiter/waitress and you notice you'd really like to work with them inside your business. Open every conversation up with a compliment.
For example; “You're really great at your job. What is your long-term plan?”
Most likely for a waiter/waitress - that's hopefully not their long-term plan, so you can start asking them “What do you like to do?” and “What is your passion?” This gets your prospect talking.
The goal is to be interested, not interesting.
(Side note: I don’t do this with everybody, but when someone sharp crosses my path, I definitely want to interview them or see if there is an opportunity to share my product, service, or opportunity.) You have an incredible opportunity inside Network Marketing to change people’s lives.... You just have to be confident enough to share it with them.
We just need to get out there and start asking “Do You Have a PLAN for that?”
It's so sad that so many people don't have a plan to get them where they want to be in life. YOU have that plan and that gift that can help people - just remember it's about helping them.
Find out what your prospect wants and ask them:
“If there was a way that I could show you how to get where you are wanting to go a little bit faster, would you be open to learning a little bit more about that?”
