Network Marketing Success – 3 Ways To Grow A Network Marketing Team When You’re Brand New – Episode 204

Network marketing success starts with your mindset
I want to start with this, if you tell yourself all of the reasons why you can’t or you won’t, you simply won’t.
There’s a lot of people out there that say, “Well, I haven’t gotten my product yet, I need to learn everything, I need to know everything, or maybe I should wait before I do anything.”
It’s all about your mindset and you want to focus on making sure that you create a power story right out of the gate.
Imagine saying to somebody, “Hey, I just got started and in just a couple of weeks, this is what I was able to do.”
You don’t want to sit around and wait.
Follow the tips I’m going to share with you on how to get some business stirred up even before your product comes or you don’t know everything yet.
Network Marketing Success Tip #1 – Share your story
You want to share your why or story and get excited about it and have confidence.
I teach something inside our team that I call a ‘why post.’
So we train our team right when they get started to share why it is that they’re what they’re doing or why they’re using the product.
We encourage them to get vulnerable, excited and exude confidence.
Now, we typically get our team to actually do this in the form of a Facebook live on their Facebook profile.
They’ll go live and announce to people what has gotten them really excited, the position that they were in before, what they were looking for specifically and what they found without saying the name of the product or the name of the company.
Then they end it with a call to action that can go something like this:
“For anybody that’s in a similar boat or would like to learn more, drop me a message I would love to share more.”
Now not everybody is comfortable doing a Facebook live right away.
So we also give them examples of what they can post on their social media to share their why and why they either got started with the product or why they got started with the business.
Network Marketing Success Tip #2 – Share a third party story
You’ll want to share a third party story on top of sharing your why.
This could be in the form of a post as well.
So when I first got started, I shared my mentor’s story all the time.
And now I’ve had a couple of mentors in network marketing so I’ll share from time to time other mentor’s stories depending on what I want to relate to with my audience.
If you’re brand new you’ll want to do that until you have your own success story.
Action step: Get with your leadership and say, “Hey, I’d love to share your story as a third party story before I create my own on my social media. Can you give me some hot points or some talking points that I can use to share, to get your story out there, to create curiosity and excitement about what it is that we’re doing?”
I’m pretty sure they’ll be more than happy to share that with you.
Network Marketing Success Tip #3 – Lean on your leadership
Lean on your leadership for the first 30 days and make sure that you let them know that you need them when you do.
Here’s what I encourage my team to do.
I know that when somebody gets started on my team, they don’t know much and I definitely know more than them.
And so what you want to do is you want to tell them, “Hey, if you have somebody that you’re sharing the business information or the product with, pop them into a three way group chat with me on Facebook messenger or Instagram messenger and let me help you guide them through the process”
Now what it does is it provides a great training resource to your new rep and to your new person as well.
Because your leaders can answer questions if you’re brand new, you can listen to what they are saying and learn from them.
It kind of serves two purposes and that’s the beauty of network marketing.
Network Marketing Success – In Closing
Okay so let’s recap the 3 steps to having network marketing success if you’re brand spanking new or have someone who’s new on your team.
✓Share your why
✓Get excited, committed and confident in what you’re doing
✓Share a third party story or multiple third-party stories until you’ve created your own
✓Lean on the leadership & mentors that you have
✓Train your mindset to be determined on creating you’re power story no matter what
