I’ve been in network marketing since 2010 and I know that if you’re in a company that has a weight loss or beauty products, it can be a little tricky to approach people without stepping on any toes.

You want to be careful with how you approach people with your solution or products because if you approach them the wrong way, you’ll turn them off in a second and they won’t be open to hearing about your products or services.

Your goal should be to gently provide information that the person will be receptive to or excited about hearing.

NETWORK MARKETING TIPS – WEAVE YOUR PRODUCT STORIES IN CONVERSATION

If you’ve been following me for some time now, then you’ve heard me say it before. Share stories!

You want them to be interested in what you’ve got right?

Sharing your product stories is a really powerful way of getting some interest and attention for your products.

It helps people relate better to what you have to offer and triggers emotions and curiosity.

Don’t have a story of your own?

Then grab someone else’s testimonial and share it with your prospects. It can be a product story from your downline, your upline, sideline, or even a story you heard at an event.

Remember, stories are what draw people’s curiosity and interest in your products. No one wants to be bored by facts and figures, however, a story that they can relate to is much more effective.

NETWORK MARKETING TIPS – USE QUESTIONS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THEIR NEEDS

Your company provides a service or product that improves some aspect of your prospect's life. At the end of the day, how you approach people will make all the difference in whether you’ll be able to effectively get your products in their hands or not.

Asking questions to learn more about your prospect and their needs is an effective way to start a conversation that can lead to sharing your products.

There is a right way and a wrong way to initiate a conversation that will lead into a product story. Here are some do’s and don'ts when initiating a conversation.

Scenario: Let’s say that you’re in a company that has a great line of beauty products.

DO:

You: Hey Sally, I noticed your skin looks great, do you have a beauty regime in place that you use?

Sally: Thanks, actually yes, it’s called XYZ…

You: That’s great! What do you like about it?

At this point, your prospect will give you all the data you need in order to lead into sharing your product with them right then and there or, at the very least, you’ll know if later down the road, they’ll need your product or service.

DON’T:

You: Wow Sally, what’s going on with your skin? It looks dry and I see a new wrinkle there on your forehead. Girl, you seriously need to start using a beauty regime. I recently started using XYZ company’s products and my skin feels softer and hydrated. Want to check it out?

Sally: Umm sure…

You’ll notice in the first example above, we gave Sally a compliment. A sincere, deserved compliment is always well-received...and can go a long way in building a relationship with your prospect.

Make sure you’re being sincere, as everyone has a positive physical attribute that you can find and compliment them on.

Steer away from pointing out a flaw or the obvious. It’s very unlikely that if someone needs to lose 20 pounds, they are oblivious to it and need you to point it out.

If you do, you’ll come across as a jerk and you won’t have a chance to share your story or your products.

NETWORK MARKETING TIPS – ATTRACT PEOPLE ALREADY SEEKING YOUR PRODUCTS

One thing I learned in my business early on was how to position my business and products in front of the people that are already searching for the benefits of my business, service or product.

I consistently generate leads on a daily basis that already want what I have to offer.

There is a better way and I now teach others in network marketing how to position themselves to make a bigger impact with their products and services.

You can start by implementing one to two simple marketing strategies to your business every day.
