Network Marketing Training - Respect their hustle

If someone starts prospecting you, you gotta give them some credit.

They’re taking action and there’s something to be said about that. Most people don’t take action so it actually says a lot about them, if they’re prospecting you.

So, hats off to them for their hustle and acknowledge their efforts.

Network Marketing Training - Review their approach

I always analyze how someone approaches me because this will tell me a lot about how they’ve been trained and how I will respond back and re-direct the pitch.

Is their approach professional or not?

You’ll know the difference by how it makes you feel.

If you can sense that they aren’t taking the time to build rapport with you and they’re just going straight for the kill, then you’ll feel icky and want to avoid speaking to them.

If their approach is not professional, I’ll compliment them for thinking of me.

And then I’ll say…

"Hey thanks for thinking of me, I’m just curious, where did you learn your prospecting approach?"

If they aren't approaching you properly, then it's obvious they haven't received the right network marketing training.

You ask because you genuinely want to help them and open the door for a conversation and to build rapport.

Network Marketing Training – It’s all about the questions you ask

Really important tip before moving forward.

Whoever asks the most questions is in control.

I ask a lot of questions to lead them in the direction that I want them to go. I do this from a place of encouragement and a sincere desire to help them out with their approach and process.

So here are some great questions that will help you lead them in the most helpful way possible:

“What business training have you invested in?”

“How have your results been up until this point with that process?”

“How is your upline teaching you to generate new leads and prospect properly?”

If they’re transparent with you, they’ll let you know that they’re not getting the proper network marketing training or the results they're looking for.

I can honestly say that 8 out of 10 people that approach me about their business do so the wrong way which means they’re not getting results.

If you can guide them and help them get better network marketing training, then you’ll have a better response when you go into asking them if they’re open to taking a look at what you’re doing.

So, what do you do if you really like them and they tell you they aren’t getting the network marketing training they need?

You can use what I like to call my shot in the dark method.

Here’s what my shot in the dark method sounds like:

“Hey John, this is a complete shot in the dark but we’ve been talking back and forth and I’ve been learning a little bit about you and your business and I think you’re super cool and (insert a genuine compliment) I know that you’re missing out on a lot of good training. We have really valuable training that could help you in your business, this is a complete shot in the dark but if there was ever an opportunity for us to work closely together would you keep your options open?"

That question leaves an open door in their mind to come back and reach out to you should they ever decide that they want to work with you.

If you connect with someone that’s totally happy and crushing it in their business, just let them be but make sure you stay connected with them.

Stay connected through social media or via text messaging because you never know what could happen in the future and you want them to remember you as that resourceful and helpful person that was really cool to connect with.

Network Marketing Training - In closing

Your goal is to be really helpful and to position yourself as a guide.

You don’t need to know everything yourself, you just need to know where to point or connect people to.

If you do this with people who approach you, they'll think of connecting with YOU first should things change in their business.
