Why You Need to Grow Your Influence to Sell
When I first started my business back in 2009, I had no idea how to grow a business.
But I knew I had this great product and great services that I needed to get in front of people.
I struggled for a couple of years because I didn’t know the value of growing a brand and a business so that when I talked and posted things online, people would listen.
When I finally learned this, people would take a look at my posts and listen to me.
It was almost like I became a credible authority in their world.
And they paid more attention to what it is that I was talking about.
There was a magical and pivotal point when I learned to do this in my business.
I’m going to break down 3 different ways you can use in your business that will help you grow your influence so people will listen to you and take action with you faster than before!
Grow Your Influence Step #1: Show up consistently with value
When I was just posting on social media about me, people tuned out, when I wanted them to tune in.
What I learned was I had to make content that served other people.
I needed to share valuable content consistently to the people who are perfect for my product or business would be interested in.
For example, if you’re selling a weight loss system, you can post healthy recipes or fitness exercises that have to do with losing weight but not specifically about your product.
Then once or twice a week, include a direct call to action into what it is that you are selling.
You are leading with value, value, value— but then, asking for the sale.
And now, you have the right to ask for the sale because you delivered value!
You’ve made it about helping other people.
One of the best ways to build your influence so people pay attention to you is to give them value by sharing value posts.
You can also do this in person! If somebody is interested in doing something, help them first before you even tell them about your services or business.
Grow Your Influence Step #2: Build an email list of subscribers
I normally don’t share this in my videos, only in my backend, but it’s become more popular and more important for me to share:
Build an email list of subscribers.
You guys see me do this all the time, where I ask people to put in their names and email.
It allows me to build an email list of interested people and allows me to re-communicate with them.
This puts me in front of these interested people more often with good valuable content so I’m top of mind as a person of value or somebody who helps them.
Then they eventually get warmed up on me and they feel comfortable enough buying from me.
Sometimes, it takes somebody to see you a few times before they make a buying decision and this is exactly how you do it.

Grow Your Influence Step #3: Be very consistent
The third way to grow your influence is being very consistent with your audience.
If you are not consistent with your audience, you cannot expect them to be consistent with you.
And you will struggle to build an authority and influential brand online.
You have to pick a consistent schedule to show up to your people
Condition people when and where to expect you and what to expect from you when they show up.

Show up and share value, build up your email list, and be consistent – this is the magic formula in growing your influence so people pay more attention and in turn, buy your products or services.
