Grow Your Social Media Following FAST (No One Is Doing THIS!)
So…you might be thinking, Is it even possible to build a big business with a small following on social media?
Abso-freakin-lutely!
You can definitely make a killing on social media even with a small following.
A lot of people make the mistake of thinking they need a HUGE following to actually make money for their business.
Because like I said, it's not how many fans or subscribers you have or people tuning in.
It's what you're doing and the connection you're making with the people that are tuning in.
I'll be honest.
Social media is a madhouse of people.
There are people trying to get your attention, people trying to fight for other people's attention but the real question is, how do we stand out in this madhouse of a busy world?
The answer is to make a first and lasting impression with your people.
Here’s the one thing that will help you stand out and grow your social media following fast.
So, I’ll let you in on a very simple strategy that not many people are using.
Not only will it help you stand out, but it will also help you grow your following faster.
Be my guest and take this strategy and use it on Instagram and Facebook!
Private voice clips. Yup. You heard me right.
When you get a new follower or even a new person that likes one of your posts - reach out to them, leave them a nice little message using a private voice clip.
It literally takes two seconds of your time, and you will be surprised at how many people respond and how your engagement increases.
Here’s the process step by step:
✓ Step 1 – When you get a new like on one of your posts, or a new follower, go over to their profile and find something that you could use to be a conversation starter.
Maybe one of their most recent posts was something that you liked and maybe there was a reason why you liked it.
✓ Step 2 – You would then send them a voice message.
I'll give you a little script on what you can say and how to personalize it.
Let’s say their name is Amy, I’ll say, “Hey, what's going on, Amy? This is Tanya Aliza. I just wanted to say thank you so much for the following me on my account. I went over to your profile, and I saw that you posted XYZ. I really liked it because XYZ. And I'm just curious, is there anything that you would like to see more of from what I do here on Instagram? Let me know. I'm curious what you're into and how I can specifically serve you.”
You can say something along those lines.
Doing this is going to do two things for you.
One (1), it's going to get them to go "wow" that was super cool and nice.
And naturally that will make them want to engage more with you on future stuff.
Two (2), you're going to stand out in their world and that’s what you want.
Invoke a 2 way dialogue to grow your social media following
The really cool thing that leaving a message does, is it invokes a two-way dialogue.
That dialogue is also going to help you come up with content that you're going to be posting in the future.
You can even ask, “Hey, thanks for the follow, is there anything that you would like to see more of here on Instagram that I can post?” Or, “What exactly are you into? How can I help?”
These kinds of questions give you great content ideas and then you don't have to think about what content to create all the time.
Talk about hitting two birds with one stone!
At this point, you’re probably thinking…"But Tanya, this takes time.”
I’m not even going to lie, YES, it does take time, but it’s time totally worth spending for your business.
At present, my business has grown massively, this includes my following.
I may not have as much time to do this myself, but on the days or weeks that I actually have time to hop in and just quickly message my followers, I get an 18% increase in sales.
What did I say? TOTALLY WORTH IT.
By doing this, you will be the brand that stands out in their head as their go-to person.
