The reality is…you could have the best product in the world, but if you’re trying to sell it to the wrong person, you’ll make no sales whatsoever.
That’s why understanding who your ideal customer avatar is, is SO important.
But how exactly do you figure out who they are?

? How to discover and understand your ideal customer avatar AKA “your best customers.”
? Where they hang out so you know exactly where you should be posting your content.
? What struggles they have so you know what content to post that gets them hooked and wanting to know more and buy from you.

It’s my simple 10 question process to get you closer to understanding your ideal customer avatar which will make everything you do in your business infinitely easier.
Why you need to know and understand your ideal customer avatar
Here’s something I ignored for the first 4 years in my business…
Marketing and Sales has absolutely nothing to do with WHAT it is that you're selling.
It has everything to do with WHO you are selling to.
When I was getting started in business and I learned this… I didn’t pay that close attention AND I failed trying to make my business work for 4 years.
The year I finally took this seriously, I went from making 56K to 434K and now I have a multimillion dollar company.
And that’s why I teach this in almost all of my courses. As you can see, it’s made a HUGE difference in my business.
Don’t stop until you know who your customer avatar is
So why aren’t more people taking the time out to figure out who their ideal customer avatar is?
Well, it’s not as fun as taking selfies and doing Tik Toks.
Sorry, but you don’t build a 7-figure business by posting pretty pictures and doing TikToks.
You’re a business owner and you don’t avoid an activity just because it isn’t fun.
And who say’s it can’t be fun?
I like to have fun with it when I’m going through the exercise and questions that I created inside the free worksheet I’m giving you with this episode.
You have to know WHO your target audience is so you know WHAT to post that will serve them so they will pay attention and buy from you.
Every part of your sales process will improve when you get clear on WHO your customer avatar is.
You’ll easily know:
?What blogs, videos, lead magnets, social media posts, etc. you should create in order to attract the RIGHT people that will turn into leads and sales
?What kind of emails to write to your people
?If you do paid advertising you’ll know where to advertise and how to get their attention
?Which products or services you can incorporate into your business because it’s a product or service your potential customer actually NEEDS
And the list goes on….
Ideal customer avatar example
Let’s use the example of two different avatars.
Avatar #1 is a new mom.
Avatar #2 is a working professional.
The needs and wants of a new mom are very different from a working professional.
Here are some differences:
- The car they drive
- The books they read
- The music they listen to
- The social media platform they’re using
- The Facebook groups they join
- The things they do for fun
You can’t serve both of these Avatars using the same messaging or products and services.
Sure, there may be products that can benefit both, but the difference will be in how you speak to each one of these avatars.
If you speak to both of them the same way…they will not likely get confused and your messaging will get lost
You learn more about this when you take the time to discover your ideal customer in depth.
Where to start when defining your ideal customer avatar
My 10 Question Tribe Worksheet and exercise is a great place to start.
It’s a proven process that I go through to get clear on who my ideal customer is and I do this activity every single year because as my business grows and evolves and so does my customer avatar.
This will also be the case for you so I recommend you do this every year as well.
I teach this exercise in almost every single one of my courses…it’s that important for the long-term success of your business.

Don’t focus on it being perfect the first time around, just focus on getting it done. Clarity will come from action so don’t delay doing this activity.
