In this post I’m going to share with you why you should brand yourself even if you’re network marketing upline or leader thinks you shouldn’t.

Warning: This blog post is going to definitely ruffle some feathers.

There are network marketing leaders and trainers that are telling people NOT to Brand themselves online and to ONLY pitch and sell the company products.

In this episode of Tanya Aliza TV, I’m going to debunk why this is simply not what you want to do… and if you’re a leader that’s telling people not to brand themselves, don’t get all bent out of shape with this training… please just hear me out so we can raise this profession up and actually have MORE people winning!

Should you brand yourself?

Now here’s something really interesting and I want you to really think about this.

The same leaders or trainers that are telling you not to brand yourself, have branded themselves and they have automated sales funnels working for them behind the scenes.

So I just want you to sit with that for a minute.

What the heck right?

So why, if these leaders or trainers are branding themselves and they have their sales funnels, why are they preaching for us to not have them?

Well, I am going to share with you a few good reasons.

Why you’re leader or upline doesn’t want you to brand yourself

It’s much easier to teach people to just go out there and talk to everybody within a three-feet radius or a three-click radius on social media and just tell post all about your products, services or business all day long

It’s easier to teach that and get somebody to get a result with that than it is to teach personal branding.

It’s not easy to teach personal branding and it does take some time.

But we all know that talking to the people that are in our circle of influence is extremely short-lived in our business career and maybe the results might last a month or two, but then what do you do after that?

You can brand yourself even if you’re not an expert

Most people think that they have to build an expert brand or become an expert trainer in something.

Most people tell me:

✓I don’t really know what to train on

✓I’m not really an expert yet

✓I haven’t really created results

And let’s just face it, if you’re just getting started in your business, what kind of expertise could you have?

At least in business or at least in that business of which you just started you might not be an expert in.

But here’s a little boss tip for you and here’s how I train my team.

You don’t have to be an expert in really anything.

You don’t have to be an expert trainer to start building your brand and to start giving value and to start building your tribe and your community.

All you have to do is show up consistently and talk about the things that excite you on a day to day basis.

Show up, give value, let people know that you exist.

Your brand will evolve around that, but the key ingredient is to show up so people see you.

It takes time to brand yourself

The reason why you don’t see a lot of trainers or network marketing leaders teach branding, at least to the level that I believe that it needs to be taught for your success, is because it takes time.

Anything worthwhile takes time, right?

So they want instant results from you so that they can create an instant success story that they can sell within their team.

And nothing’s wrong with instant success stories.

Yes, that works, but you have to be thinking long term in your business, not short term, because like I said before,the people that are in your local vicinity or on your warm market list are your friends and family

That is a very short-lived strategy. You can get results from that strategy and it does work, but you have to have a long-term game plan.

And so a lot of trainers and a lot of network marketing leaders don’t want to teach branding because they know it’s going to take you a little while and they want that instant result.

Now I want you to take a long, hard look at who you’re listening to and following and then you want to take a look at, are they preaching what they practice?

Not practice with their preaching, but are they preaching what they’re doing?

Brand yourself – In Closing

I guarantee that those leaders that are out there telling you not to build your brand, not to build a sales funnel, they all have a brand and sales funnel in place.

So it’s very interesting that they’re telling people not to do it.

Gets you thinking, right?
