This episode is going to be a little different.
Unlike the others, we’re going to treat it like a workshop and work along the steps together.
With that being said, I encourage you to do two (2) things for me:
Download the free resource that comes with this episode called "Step by Step Roadmap to Growing your Email List"
Save this episode because you’re going to want to come back to it a few times.
The last thing people want is more junk in their inbox.
On the contrary, before anyone gives you their information they need to
- know you;
- like you;
and trust you.
It should be noted, that part of the strategy is giving them something they will find extremely valuable in exchange for their information.
In this email marketing tutorial, my 7-Figure List Building Roadmap invokes all of that.
Where are you going (what are you selling?)
Every action in your business should have a purpose.
You will have to start with the end in mind.
Example:
My product is a course that teaches you how to do Instagram Reels.
Therefore, jot down your product or service in the blank area in the worksheet you just downloaded.
What are the benefits of your product or service?
In this step, you will have three to five benefits.
Take note that these are not benefits of your product, but rather the benefits to the end user.
- Why would somebody want to purchase your products or services?
- What is the end result they are trying to achieve?
- What will be the benefits of your product and service to people?
Example:
Learning how to do Instagram Reels will:
1. help you build your brand.
2. help you build your Instagram following.
3. Get your exposure for XYZ products/whatever you are selling.
Who is your potential best customer or client?
Think about who could best use your product and niche it down.
This is indeed an important step in the activity as you might have multiple groups and types of people that would be interested in your product/s.
However, I want you to stick to one niche group for now.
Example:
The group of people that would benefit from this program might be Real Estate Agents.
What is a major need that your audience has?
In this example, Real Estate Agents, ask yourself:
- What do they really want?
- What is it they are striving for?
Example:
A major need Real Estate Agents may have is more listings.
What FREE value can you give your audience that will solve this major need?
What can you give them that would move them towards the direction they want to go?
In the case, in the direction of their major need.
Example:
Free Home Seller’s Checklist
You can come up with a 27 point checklist such as “27 Point Checklist To Help You Sell Your House For Over Asking Lightning Fast!”
In this example, we can go onto our social media platforms and say “Hey, if you’re looking to sell your home, grab this checklist!”
We will know that anybody who puts in their email address or details for the checklist is our exact potential perfect client or customer.
What we’re doing right now is what I call my Freebie Funnel Method where we have now:
- Identified what your product and service does for people;
- What the benefit is;
- Who it’s best served for;
- Who we are maybe trying to attract right now as a niche;
- Understanding what they really need;
- Creating something of value that is going to help build your credibility and trust with our audience;
- Attract a very specific audience.

Promote Your Products and Services in the Freebie and In Your Freebie Funnel
Create an asset that can help you and your business in a way where you’re recommending your products and services in that free download.
When they put their information in, they now become a subscriber on your email list.
You're growing your email list with the right people.
They get value and get offered the products and services in your marketing funnel.
Typically, once they’ve downloaded the freebie on the landing page, the next page will have a video of myself.
In this video, I genuinely thank them for their interest in the freebie, let them know the specific benefits they’d get out of the freebie, and most importantly show them you have services or products that can help them with their needs.
You don't just want an email list, you want an email list of perfect, ready-to-buy buyers.
Multiply Your Revenue with Micro Offers
Now that you’re growing an email list, you should be focusing on selling your main offer.
Some people are not going to take you up on that offer right away.
However, that doesn’t mean you can’t recommend other resources and products that you could make money from too.
You can still make money by referring them to products that are congruent to their initial interest on your email list.
With that being said, make sure you think about the additional things you could share with your audience that will help them with their needs..
